Vedic Astrology (Jyotish) and Relationship Compatibility

By comparing two people's Vedic astrology birth horoscopes it is possible to see if the relationship is compatible. By compatible I mean that there are enough factors in common that will cause the relationship to make it in the long-term. If there is not enough astrological compatibility then the match is not recommended.

When matching horoscopes I look at 10 main areas, they are:
1. Communication Compatibility - Will each person be able to intellectually connect with each other? Will they be able to speak openly and freely with each other? Will they be able to ask for what they want and be heard by their partner?
2. Emotional Compatibility - Is there a mutual empathy and feelings? Does each person respect the other's emotional needs? Will they be able to provide emotionally what is needed? Is intimacy possible?
3. Personality Compatibility - What are the character traits, attitudes and viewpoints of each partner? Will these create conflict or cooperation in the relationship?
4. Values Compatibility - Will they share important areas in each other's lives?
5. Criteria Compatibility - Is each person looking for similar things in a partner?
6. Lifestyle Compatibility - Do both partners' lifestyle patterns blend or clash with each other?
7. Sexual Compatibility - Can they fulfill each other sexually over the long term?
8. Children Compatibility - Is having a family important to both partners? Will they be good parents? Will they want children at the same time?
9. Timing Compatibility - Is it an appropriate time for each of them to enter into a relationship? Are both partners ready for a relationship now? If not now, when?
10. Karmic Compatibility - Are there any past-life ties together? If there are, then what are they and how must they work them out?
